Meet Justin
About Justin Riley
As the Portfolio Controller, Justin is responsible for investment-level and fund accounting functions. This includes preparing investor reports, managing the preparation of tax returns and audits, along with monitoring all investment accounting activities.
Prior to joining NTCIC, Justin was a Senior Accountant at Baker Tilly where he specialized in real estate and private equity funds. Justin received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Scranton.

Meet Lauren
About Lauren Wilcox
As Operations Coordinator, Lauren oversees the day-to-day functions of our Washington, D.C. office, offers administrative assistance to senior management, and provides crucial support for advocacy initiatives. She is highly organized, detail-oriented, and willing to jump in to help wherever she is needed, which are skills she utilizes daily as she works closely with various departments and individuals.
Prior to joining NTCIC, Lauren worked as a news producer for KSL-5 TV, which is the local NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City, UT. Lauren earned her BS in Communication with an emphasis in journalism from the University of Utah in 2023.

Meet Abdul
About Abdul Fawzi
As a Senior Accountant, Abdul oversees general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions through closing and reconciling all of NTCIC and its subsidiaries’ books. In addition, Abdul manages the company’s Account Payable and Receivable and supports external audits by providing documentation and explanation. Before joining NTCIC, Abdul served as a Staff Accountant at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Abdul received his MBA from DeVry University, post- Baccalaureate, Certificate in Accounting from George Mason University, and obtained his bachelor’s in economics from Cadi Ayaad University, Marrakech, Morocco.

Meet Emily
About Emily Schimmel
As the People & Operations Manager at NTCIC, Emily Schimmel is at the helm of People Operations and daily office management. She supports the predominantly remote staff and ensures the smooth functioning of the corporate headquarters in Washington, DC. With over 15 years of experience in office management and people operations, Emily brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.

Prior to joining NTCIC, Emily served as the Office Manager at the James Renwick Alliance for Craft, a national nonprofit dedicated to fostering education, connoisseurship, and public appreciation of American Craft and craft artists.
Since joining NTCIC, Emily has continued to cultivate her passion for helping people, earning her SHRM-CP certification. She also holds a Master of Professional Studies in The Business of Art and Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and a Master of Arts in Decorative Arts and Design History from the Smithsonian/George Washington University-Corcoran.

About Megan Fee
As Controller, Megan oversees all accounting functions for NTCIC, and its subsidiaries. This includes general ledger preparation, payroll, timekeeping, budget creation, analysis and tracking, and financial reporting. Before joining NTCIC, Megan was the Controller at The McLean Group, LLC, a boutique investment bank specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions in the Government Contracting sector. Megan earned her bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University.

Meet Suzanne
About Suzanne Brown
As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Suzanne is responsible for finance and internal operations including Accounting, HR, IT and administrative functions for NTCIC, its subsidiaries and its funds. Suzanne also oversees NMTC compliance and assists in managing NTCIC’s NMTC program.
Suzanne has over 35 years of management, accounting and finance experience and has held various senior management positions in corporate accounting for both private and public companies. Prior to joining NTCIC, she worked for Enterprise Community Investment, Inc., where she was responsible for deploying over $100 million in NMTC capital, as well as overseeing compliance and investor reporting and served on their finance team. She additionally held other positions in corporate accounting and was a manager in the financial services practice of KPMG, a national public accounting firm.
Suzanne is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from The George Washington University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
