July 26th, 2022: Members of Congress will depart Washington in August to head home for the summer recess through Labor Day. This week, advocates are encouraged to contact offices to request cosponsorship of the Historic Tax Credit Growth and Opportunity Act (HTC-GO HR 2294/S.

Our team continues to grow! We are thrilled to welcome new members to NTCIC over the past couple of months.

Thanks to the recent efforts of HTC advocates, there are now over 85 House members and 11 Senators in support of the Historic Tax Credit Growth and Opportunity Act (HTC-GO) bills (HR 2294/S. 2266). This is the most support gathered for a House HTC improvement bill in recent memory.

NTCIC will attend the upcoming Novogradac New Markets Tax Credit Conference from January 20th – 21st to connect with industry colleagues, share details of our upcoming deployment strategy, and meet with project sponsors currently seeking allocation.

Last week, the House passed a $1.75 trillion version of the “Build Back Better” (BBB) reconciliation bill on a vote of 220 to 213. The bill did not include Historic Tax Credit (HTC) enhancements.

At NTCIC’s October 2021 Board of Directors meeting, Ms. Lauri Michel was unanimously elected as incoming Chair, succeeding Mr. Bruce Block.
