Webinar Recap: Mission Success: The Owosso Armory

Written By: NTCIC

This past Thursday, NTCIC hosted the third and final webinar in our three-part “Investing in Your Main Street” series. We started our series by covering the basics of tax credits. What they are, what types are available, and an overview of how they are used. For our second event, we took a deep dive into how tax credits can be used together, challenges you may encounter and how to overcome them, and how the Irvin Henderson Main Street Revitalization Fund may be the perfect option to support your local revitalization efforts.

To close out the series, we spoke with Jeff Deason, President/CEO of Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce and the organizer of the first revitalization project to utilize NTCIC’s Main Street Revitalization Fund. We were also joined by Josh Adams, Executive Director for Owosso Main Street, who originally connected the project with the NTCIC program.

Together, they discussed the importance of tapping into your local community for support and opportunities, as well as the challenges that Main Street revitalization projects may face. We hope you enjoyed this series and stay tuned for more!

Also – to help NTCIC better understand the needs of Main Street communities across the country, we are conducting a brief survey to learn more about the types of projects and amenities you need in your area! Follow the link below and tell us more about how we can help! By completing the survey, you’ll be entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card!
