NTCIC Board Member Larry Curtis Receives Historic Preservation Award

Written By: NTCIC

October 22, 2019 — NTCIC wishes to congratulate board member Larry Curtis on his recent receipt of the President’s Award for Excellence during the 31st annual Preservation Achievement Awards hosted by the Boston Preservation Alliance. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker presented the award to Larry and his development company WinnCompanies for their breadth of preservation projects as well as Larry’s career of advocacy to save, enhance, and extend the federal Historic Tax Credit (HTC).

“A lot of people put elbow grease into saving the HTC, and thank god they did,” Governor Baker noted during the event. “The beauty of historic preservation is that it not only gives you a chance to enjoy the glory of what buildings represent, but it also gives you a chance to preserve the stories of how they came to be in the first place, which is really special.”
